Quiz is a series of questions testing knowledge. It is an entertainment that is a part of practical education. The things that students cannot gain in the classroom by studying the text books are given to the students are given to the students by the process of quiz. It is the competition between the talented ones which picks up the TALENT among the talents. Through quiz an individual reaches to the apex of his knowledge. Education is the continuous process. One can never stop learning. So, quiz is the process that helps in furbishing the mind of the students enlarging their knowledge.

Well it shows that 74%of our total knowledge is based on the quiz. So, to be fully learned and educated quiz plays a vital role. The mind of the person taking part in quiz seems to be much enhanced than that of the one who doesn't. Quiz has a significant role in our career building process.

Kathmandu University High School, KUHS has been conducting Mathematics Quiz since 3 years sponsored by Horlicks. It has made great contributions in the field of mathematics and has identified the mathematics genius of Nepal. To be genius only mathematics is not sufficient. One should have overall talent. So, this time not only mathematics but KUHS is searching for the overall talent through "HORLICKS GENIUS NEPAL, 2009". It has become one of the platforms for the students to present their talents. It encourages the hidden talents to come forward. It has also been playing the important role in maintaining the cooperation among the different schools in the whole country.

METHOD OF SELECTING THE GENIUS IN HORLICKS GENIUS NEPAL, 2009:

There are16 teams in our country. Two teams from each school are allowed to participate. A team should not be exceeding two students. First there will be written round from where Four top teams will be selected for stage quiz in the respective centers. And the winner team of this quiz will represent the center and be selected for semi-final.16 teams will be divided into 4 groups. Winner of each group will be selected as semi-finalist. These semi-finalist tackle with one another in the grand final.

Dipendra Police got the title of First mathematics Genius whereas for the second time Malpi International School and Third time it was Gautam English School. Adrasha Vidhya Mandir, Lalitpur won the title of competition for 2007, which was held in new format under the name of Horlicks Genius Quiz. Sidhartha English Boarding School Butwal won the last year title of competition.
